What is a roadworthy certificate (RWC)?

An RWC is a certificate that states the necessary safety requirements of a passenger vehicle, addressing all areas that could cause the vehicle to be unsafe or potentially cause an accident due to reduced functionality or under performance.
Noosa Pit Stop roadworthy inspections cover:
  • Lights
  • Tyres
  • Windscreen
  • Brakes
  • Suspension system
  • Rust & damage
You will need an RWC if you want to register an unregistered vehicle, if you are transferring ownership of a vehicle you are selling, or if you are registering a vehicle in QLD that has been registered in another state.

All vehicles registered elsewhere and for sale in QLD must have an RWC. It’s a requirement of the pre-registration process. Queensland Transport dictates that an RWC is required at the time any vehicle is offered for sale. Failure to have an RWC can result in an instant $560 fine.

We inspect all types of cars and trucks.

We can do a roadworthy inspection onsite at your home or work place, or you can bring the vehicle in to our workshop in Noosaville. Our comprehensive reports include details about:
  • Mechanical state of engine & transmission
  • Previous body repair
